Can I give my partener genital if I peform on him?

Okay, I have just been tested positive for genital , HSV 2, and was wondering if it's safe for me to perform oral on him, since HSV 2 is genital, and not mouth. I didn't think I could, but I just wanted to make sure. I've never had any signs or symptoms on my , but we still are choosing to obstain from l , but thought that if I gave him , it would be okay, since it's just like kissing, just kissing obviously somewhere else.
