Jewish friends: What is the correct pronunciation of יהוה?

You've missed the point - this is the UNPRONOUNCEABLE name of God. I can't tell you what Moses actually said - he may have said Adonai, which is what we say now when we see the yod hey vav hey Hebrew letters. It was only ever spoken on Yom Kippur by the High Priest in the Holy of Holies. It is not known what vowels were used. 'Jehovah' and 'Yahweh' are emphatically NOT what was said. Because the vowels for "Adonai" were often written in to remind people to say that rather than try to pronounce יהוה , there was an understandable mistake made by non-Jews who umed the vowels applied to יהוה.
