If you were in Iraq or Afghanistan what sniper rifle would you choose?

It all depends on your application. 400-700 yd. shots 700 Remington bolt in at least 30 cal. configuration, same with the possible need for multiple shots- M1A/M-14 or M1 Garand. To take out a vehicle- A 50 cal. will do. However for shots under 400 yds a 22-250 thru 270 will do fine. You will never see a Sniper dragging a 30 lb. rifle to do a job that a 10 lb. rifle do, never! If you are concerned with which rifle is needed for snipers than you should also be concerned about the report of these rifles. Lose you concealment and you may lose your life. Generally, most often than not, snipers are greatly out-numbered.
