Tongue peirce=complete lost of taste( if done wrong)?

i would love to get my tongue pierced but i was told that during the process of piercing your tongue.. if you move around.. you might loose all sense of taste.... is that true.... cuz if it is.. .then thats a major risk for people to be takin so lightly....
