How can I dance en pointe?

normally when you go en pointe your teacher like tells you. i know at my dance school we can't just go and sign up for a pointe cl we have to audition for it or be told that we can do it from our instructers. so maybe you can get a job or save up some money to pay for it yourself and then wait for your teacher to tell you that you're ready!
