Has anyone heard of an allergic reaction to carpet?

My 7 year old daughter has had an allergic reaction over the last week. It happens in the afternoon. This is when her cl has their reading time. She spends about an hour on the floor. Her eyes get really red and start to run. Also, she has congeston and complains of a headache. I just wonder if anyone has any other suggestions. I am going to the allergist and want to be prepared for any questions for him. Thanks!!
