Why does 4kids think that halos are not approppriate in anime?

I was watching dbz kai today on cw for kids and the episode they were playing was when Goku went to the check in station. I noticed almost immediately that Goku's halo was censored and looked like a glowing cloud on top his head. I think they censored it because they don't want kids to know that Goku is dead and they proabably want to pull a Yu gi oh where you don't die you go to a "shadow realm". They proabably made up some crap with Goku teleporting to another dimension instead of being killed by Piccolo's energy beam cannon. Man I really hate 4kids worst company for anime ever..
