Why are so many Americans incredibly racist?

I know how difficult it can get around here when you see so much intolerance and hatred towards others. If it makes you feel any better, I agree with you and do my utmost to respect all beliefs. The only time I don't have respect for a person is when they disrespect me, but then my disrespect is aimed at the individual not their religion. It was because of this that I took a VERY long break from Y!A and this is my first day back after about 6 months. Don't let them get to you. There are people out there who are respectful of the beliefs of others and don't believe that there is only one right way(which you will notice is always their way). I wish you luck on your quest to find the right faith for you and I hope that the people here who are intolerant, narrow minded and prejudiced don't change you overall faith in humanity.
