I read inhaling the scent of jasmine can be as calming as valium. How do I inhale enough to have the effect?

I read about this scientific study in the UK Daily Telegraph today - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/7881819/Smell-of-jasmine-as-calming-as-valium.html. But how do you inhale enough of the chemicals to have the effect? Do we have to wait for scientists to extract them? Or can you just take a whiff of jasmine oil?
