Why did so many people get pissed at the "davinci code" movie/book?

Seriously. Even if Jesus got some from Mary Magdalene then what's the big deal? He died and suffered for us, so if you really love him then dont you think the least he could get is a little satisfaction? It wouldnt make him any less of a man, infact to some people it would MAKE him more of a man.
